Why Choose Lower Manaslu Trek?

  • Manaslu’s culture and scenery at a gentler pace: You get the Gurung and Tsum-influenced villages, waterfalls and river gorges without the high passes of the full circuit.
  • Lower altitude: The route stays roughly between 700 m and 2,200 m, so altitude sickness is much less of a concern.
  • Quieter trails: The Manaslu region sees far fewer trekkers than Annapurna or Everest, so teahouses and paths feel peaceful.
  • Flexible timing: The trek is short and low, so it fits tight schedules and works from early spring to late autumn.
  • Good for first-timers and families: Moderate daily walking and a well-established teahouse route make it easy to manage.
  • Local hospitality: You stay in family-run lodges and eat home-cooked food, and your spending goes to local communities.
