Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu via various airlines and transfer to the hotel.
Today is your arrival day in Kathmandu at Tribhuwan international airport where you will be received by our staff and guides and transferred to your hotel by private vehicle. Check-in your rooms, getting refreshed, join with other trekkers for a briefing provided by our guide or leader.

Day 02: In Kathmandu with a sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
Today after having your breakfast at morning, Full day sightseeing at Kathmandu famous world heritage sites of great interest led by our expert guide, as Kathmandu city steeped with ancient and old monuments that make the whole valley an interesting place to explore, afternoon pre- preparation for Kanchenjunga base camp trek.

Day 03: Fly to Bhadrapur and drive to Ilam town
Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trekking starts with a short drive to Kathmandu domestic airport by short flight to warm areas of southeast Nepal lowland, during 45 minutes flight grand panorama of mountains with Everest, Makalu and Kanchenjunga, on reaching at Bhadrapur airport, situated near the Indian border of West Bengal near Darjeeling.
From Bhadrapur, you will join with our other crew members and porters for this wonderful adventure to Kanchenjunga base camp. Overnight stay at the hotel. -
Day 04: Drive to Sukhetar trek to Lali Kharka
The morning starts with an exciting drive to reach at Sukhetar in Taplejung district, our starting point of Kanchenjunga base camp trek, the first-day walk follows into several farmlands and scattered mid hills villages and with a pleasant walk to reach our overnight stop at Lali Kharkavillage, a small well-tended farm field.

Day 05: Trek to Khesewa Bhanjyang
From this lovely village, walk leads to a descend and then with uphill passing various terraces, mid hills villages mostly populated by Hindu origins of mix people Brahmins, Chettris and Kirat tribes, our walk slowly leads to Tembawa village, from here downhill to Phawa Khola, crossing a river reaching at Pokora village, walk leads to the steep climb to Kunjari village, and then through the cool forest with a climb to Khesewa- Bhanjyang village for overnight stay.

Day 06: Trek to Mamankhe
The morning starts with descending towards farm areas entering a forest at Nandeva Khola, after crossing a stream, walk leads downhill and then with a climb back into the forest to reach at Lopoding village, from here with few ups and down to a small village, offering views of Khumbakarna Himalayan range with Yalung and Mt. Kanchenjunga towards the north. Our walk continues on a downhill path through farm fields, and then uphill climb for an hour to reach a crest at Pomppe Dhada with views of Mt. Jannu, from here descends to Kheswa Khola, after crossing a bridge to reach overnight camp at Mamankhe village.

Day 07: Trek to Yangphudin
Morning walk begins with a gentle climb, skirting around the ridge to a level path to Dekadin village. From this village walk towards along Kabeli Khola (stream) climbing from the river bed towards mountain trail, walking on winding path and small streams then descend towards Kabeli Khola, leaving the river ascends to a climb through farm fields and villages, after a good walk reaching at Yamphudin for overnight.

Day 08: Trek to Chitre
From Yamphudin walk heads along Kabeli Khola to cross a tributary stream of Omje Khola, then a ascend up to Dhupi Bhangyang to reach at wide open grassland, from the top a steady downhill through ephemeral forest to Omje Khola. The trek continues through lush rhododendron forest and to a ridge at Chitre, a small settlement with only a few huts for an overnight stop.

Day 09: Trek to Simbua Khola
After a pleasant morning at Chitre, the journey continues to Ramite Bhanjyang with a steep climb into an alpine forest of magnolias, rhododendron and bamboo trees arriving at Ramite, an isolated spot with shade, from here climb towards Ramite Bhanjyang with views of Mt. Jannu, Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Khumbhakarna and Kabru peaks and then on the downhill walk to the riverbank of Simbua Khola for camping overnight.

Day 10: Trek to Tseram
Starting our morning walk following Simbua Khola upstream along mountain flank within forest, then reaching at Wahta a place with a lonely hut actually a shade and a shelter for travelers, from here cross a small stream leading to a shrine in the midst of a forest with a large rock with an impression of serpent-shaped.
Then after walks towards the riverbed, a short climb brings at Tserem for an overnight stop with views of Yalung glacier and Kabru 7,353 m and Talung 7,349 m peaks in the North-East direction. -
Day 11: Trek to Ramche via Lapsang
After a pleasant morning at Tserm morning walk begins with a descend reaching back at Simbua Khola riverside, from here a climb to a hilltop reaching at Yalung Bara with a lone stone hut, marking the end of tree lines and vegetations with mountain path leading towards Yalung Glacier ablation area.
From Yalung with superb views of Kabru, Rathong and Kokthang, and then stopping here for overnight camping. -
Day 12: Rest day at Ramche for acclimatization hike to south base camp
A necessary acclimatization day, from Ramche hike to Kanchenjunga South Base Camp with view of Yalung Glacier and Mt. Kanchenjunga South Peak, taking approx: two hours to reach the classic old route of the 1st British Expeditions to Mt. Kanchenjunga in 1955, at base camp for grand views of Talung and Kabru Peak, after a wonderful hike with a marvelous panorama back to Ramche.

Day 13: Trek back to Tseram
Morning down walks back to Tserm, with a long descent and back to tree lines and marveling at the views along the route to Tseram.

Day 14: Trek to Tamo- La
From this camp on downhill path to Yalungbar and then a short climb to cross a river with good walk into woodland, from here leading uphill for an hour to reach two small ponds and then up and down to cross 3 passes of Mirgain La, Tamo La and Sinion La in a day with grandeur view of Kabru peak and Mt. Kanchenjunga.
From Mirgin La, walking downhill and up at Sinion La 4,500 m with views of Mt. Makalu, Mt. Baruntse, and Chamlang peaks towards the northwest direction, the path descends slowly to Tamo La at 4,500 m and from here another superb view of Khumbhakarna Himalaya then towards overnight camp with a long descent. -
Day 15: Trek to Ghunsa
From here on the trail to our final destination to North Kanchenjunga Base Camp, starting with a pleasant walk with steep descend for an hour into rhododendron and pines tree lines, the downhill walk continues to Ghunsa River, and then from here, trek on a nice gentle trail to Ghunsa village for an overnight stop, here at Ghunsa meet the friendly Bhotia people of Tibetan origin the houses are built with stones a neat small farm village.

Day 16: Trek to Kangbachen
Morning walk with a steep climb along the river bank with beautiful waterfalls then reaching at grazing area with Yaks and cattle’s, walk carries on after Ghunsa River, into nice rhododendron and pines woodland, and then a climb to Rambuk Kharka with wonderful views of Khumbukarna Himal, Janu Himal and other mountain range, after leaving the forest and tree lines entering towards the dry and barren country with sparse vegetation of junipers and Burberrys bushes after Rambuk Kharka, uphill walk on a large landslide area with a fabulous view of Khumbakarna's Himal and heading down to overnight camp at Kangbachen overlooking Mt. Sharphu 7,070 meters and Mt. Janu North Face with Wedge peak.

Day 17: Trek to Lhonak
After a glorious morning with amazing views walk follows above the river for an hour and then heading towards North-East, the walk leads down to the glacial river and with a climb on a boulder which leads to a rocky moraine fed with glaciers, and then passing Ramtang Kharka (a cattle herders place) towards Kanchenjunga glacier, after crossing and the meeting point of Lhonak and Kanchenjunga glacier to reach Lhonak for an overnight stop, looking striking views of Mera, Nepal Peak and Wedge Peaks.

Day 18: Trek to Pang Pema
From here the walk leads to the ultimate destination of this fine trio to Pang Pema at North Base Camp within massive Mt. Kanchenjunga, the trail climb high above the river with super views of Kirat Chuli, Nepal Peak, Taple Sikhar, and Givegela Chuli, walks carries on to our highest point of this adventure at Pang Pema to camp for two nights.

Day 19: Rest day at Pema for local hike and exploration
Here rest day for a great scenic hike up to Pang Pema Peak 5,800 meters for best views offers a stupendous panorama of Kanchenjunga, Kumbakarna, Makalu, Cholotse, Sharpu, Drohma, Nepal Peak and range of other snow-capped mountains.

Day 20: Trek to Kangbachen
After a fantastic time around Pang Pema at Kanchenjunga North Base Camp, morning walk leads to a long descent with few short climbs and retracing the journey back by the same route to camp at Kambachen.

Day 21: Trek to Phole
From Kangbachen with memorable time in the higher area, today’s walk leads to a long descent to Phole passing several farm areas and small villages to cross Ghunsa Khola, and then walking back through alpine forest to an interesting Phole a Sherpa village.

Day 22: Trek to Amjilassa
Journey carry’s on with downhill reaching back to green vegetation and tree lines forest of bamboo and rhododendrons, just before Gybala village a steep climb and down again for two hours into the dense forest and reaching an open grassland area at a small Sherpa village of Amjilassa with overnight camp.

Day 23: Trek to Tapethok
Heading back to warmer land to lower elevation back to farm area and more villages, beginning on a winding trail and with a descend into open grassland to Ghaiya Bari and Sekathum villages, and then crossing Ghunsa and Simbhu rivers following Tamur River to Tapethok village for overnight camp, this village of Limbu (Subba) Kirat ethnic tribe people.

Day 24: Trek to Phoram
After Tapethok village, walk continues on shore of Tamur River and to Chiruwa village, and then through several farm villages, leading to climb into cool serene woodland of rhododendrons, oaks and pines trees, on leaving behind forest walk gets pleasant reaching at Phoram village, a moderate size village with rest of the afternoon walk around this nice Phoram village.

Day 25: Trek to Suketar
Today, the final day trekking of this marvelous adventure to Suketar village, this last day walk leads to several quaint villages and passing serene woods, the walk leads to uphill for few hours and with a pleasant trek all the way to Taplejung village at Suketar for the last camping of this great trip.
Sukhetar with an airstrip that flies to Biratnagar (we put a driving option instead of flight from this village due to unpredictable flight schedule that leads to flight delay and cancellation more often) -
Day 26: Drive to Bhritamod or Bhadrapur
After an enjoyable adventure around both Kanchenjunga base camps, the walk ends with an exciting drive to reach around the low warm area of South East Terai at Bhadrapur or Bhirtamod towns for last overnight stops.

Day 27: Fly back to Kathmandu afternoon free at leisure
Transfer to Bhadrapur airport for the sweeping flight of 45 minutes to reach back at Kathmandu and then transfer to respective hotels with the rest of the day free at leisure.

Day 28: Spare and contingency day in Kathmandu in case of flight delay and cancellation
Spare or contingency day in Kathmandu where interested people can book an optional tour around Kathmandu at the place of great interest or free for individual activities.

Day 29: International Departure to respective countries homeward bound
Last day in the land of world highest mountains and exciting cultures, as per your time for international flight depart from the hotel, where All Nepal Treks staff and guide transfers you to the airport, with grand experience and wonderful memories on Mt. Kanchenjunga Base Camp treks.

Kanchenjunga (8586m) is the 3rd highest mountain in the world. The term “Kanchenjunga” stands for crystal clear in Nepal. Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trekking is one of the most exciting, challenging and popular treks in Nepal. The trek takes you through the remote, various landscapes, including lush forests, terraced fields, traditional villages and unexplored areas of the eastern Himalayas, providing you with stunning views of some of the highest peaks in the world. It is also one of the great Himalayan trails, which is in the eastern part of Nepal, situated in North- east Nepal and is bordered between Nepal and Sikkim. It is one of the least visited regions of the country due to its remoteness and isolation from main towns and villages where tented camping is necessary to enjoy the adventure trek around the Mt. Kanchenjunga.
The Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is a challenging and remote trekking route that takes you to the base camp of Mount Kanchenjunga. This trek offers awe-inspiring views of the snow-capped peaks, diverse landscapes and rich cultural experiences. Starting Mt. Kanchenjunga trekking takes a sweeping flight from Kathmandu to land at Far Eastern Nepal Terai region with sub-tropical country, and then heading into the cooler zone on high hills of Ilam area famous for Tea Garden and its products. The trek journey finally takes you to the starting and ending point of the trekking at Taplejung town in Sukhetar, where our adventure begins heading northeast following farm fields and villages into the cool shade of forest with steep climb within dense vegetation and tree lines beyond farm villages. You have to walk a few hours to reach Lalikharka (1,880 m).
Your journey begins through Isolated villages, high verdant, gleaming mountains blanketed in snow, misty clouds forming a canopy around magnolia and rhododendron forest, and dramatic landscapes makes Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek a perfect platform for trekkers. You will continue your trek, through lush forests, hike uphill through terraced fields to reach khesewa. It is a small village where you have to acclimatize for a few hours. After that you have to begin your hike to reach Phurumba (1920 m). Continue the trek from Phurumbu as you ascend through enjoying beautiful panoramic views of the hills, after a few hours you will reach Bhanjyang (2340 m). It offers a scenic trail through the hills of eastern Nepal. As you continue the trek, you will hike several hours over suspension bridges, diverse landscapes and terrain fields to reach Mamankhe. It is situated at an altitude of approximately 1,780 meters. It is a gateway of Kanchenjunga Conservation Area. This village is inhabited by ethnic Limbu community, known for their culture and traditions. While it is a small village with basic facilities, which serves as an important stopover for trekkers. After this village the trekkers continue their journey towards Tseram, Ramche, and eventually the Kanchenjunga Base Camp. This village is surrounded by pristine wilderness, stunning mountains and landscapes. As you continue your trek, gradually ascend towards Tseram, situated at an altitude of around 3,870 meters.
It is a popular stopover point for trekkers heading towards the Kanchenjunga Base Camp. Tseram is known for its natural surrounding green hill area and surrounding mountains, including majestic Kanchenjunga. It is full of stunning flora and fauna of the mountain range. The trail of the Tseram is rugged and remote, so you must be well prepared with proper gear and acclimatization before beginning your trek to high altitude. Despite this, you will gradually ascend towards Ramche, which is located at an altitude of approximately 4,580 meters through various diverse landscapes, some ups and some downs through rugged rocks, narrow paths while reaching Ramche. It is an important destination for rest acclimatization for hiking to South Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek and Yalung Base Camp. It offers a natural beauty of mountains, Himalayas and panorama views of peaks, including Kanchenjunga. The village is surrounded by green hills and it is a home to Nepali Army Post, because the area is near to the Nepal -India border. You must carry the permits that are needed for entry in different points. You need three permits, such as a TIMS card (Trekkers Information Management System, RAP (Restricted Area Permit), and KCAP (Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Permit). The Ramche village is a nearby village of Tseram village.
As you continue your trek from Ramche, the path gradually ascends towards the southern side of the Kanchenjunga. You will pass through several high altitude camps and rugged trails including the panoramic views of Kanchenjunga and Summits. Kanchenjunga South Base Camp, situated at an altitude of around 4,700 meters. The South Base Camp offers breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga massif, glaciers and snow capped mountains. It is the best place to soak in the beauty of the Himalayas and amazing views of mountains. From there you will gradually descend the tseram to Ghunsa (3,475 meters) to reach Kanchenjunga North Base Camp.
It is situated at an altitude of approximately 5,140 meters. The Kanchenjunga North Base Camp is also known as Pangpema. The north base camp trek usually starts from Ghunsa. The trail follows the Ghunsa River and gradually ascends through lush forest areas, crossing over suspension bridges and small villages. Through the rugged and rocky path of KCAP. You will pass through Tibetan villages, Buddhist monasteries to reach North Base Camp. It offers awe-inspiring views of the Kanchenjunga massif, including themain peak, Yalung Kang. This trek offers an opportunity to explore the pristine Himalayas wilderness. This trek is less frequented than the South Base Camp Trek. Usually the Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) season is the best season to trek in Kanchenjunga Base Camp. In this season the weather is warm and stable with a pleasant morning walk.
You can also trek to Kangbachen village to rest acclimatization. Kangbachen village is situated at an altitude of around 4,000 meters, a common stopover point for trekkers heading towards both the Kanchenjunga North Base camp and south Base Camp. The Kangbachen village trek starts from Ghunsa village, which is reached after a few days from Milke Danda. The kangbachen route follows the Ghunsa river, offering stunning views of lush forests, waterfalls and towering mountains. Similarly you will passes various village during the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek, such as Lali Kharka, Khesewa Bhanjyang, Mamankhe, Simbua Khola, Tseram, Ramche, Tamo- La, Lhonak, Tamo- La, Pang pema respectively, Some of the village is at high altitude so trekker carry a necessary things and medical kit also. Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is physically challenging so the trekker must be physically fit and mentally strong. For this trek, you can pack necessary things, such as warm clothes, comfortable shoes, medical kit, torch lights, power banks, cash and many more. Do not carry unnecessary things, that makes the bag heavy, and this makes you easily exhausted while you can’t trek with the heavy bags. As the trek continues, soon our fantastic trek ends at Taplejung town in Sukhetar where the drive takes you back within low warm Terai of Nepal and then on a short flight to reach Kathmandu after a long adventurous trek enjoying the most adorable experience on Mt.
