1. Swayambhunath Stupa
An ancient religious complex atop a hill in kathmandu. A significant Buddhist site with stunning views of the valley. Known for its white dome and golden spire adorned with eye of Buddha.
2. Boudhhanath Stupa
One of the largest stupas in the world, located in kathmandu. A vital center for Tibetan Buddhism. Feature a massive mandala atmostphere which was listed in UNESCO in 1979. A Major center for Tibetan Buddhism refugees settled here in the 1950s. Surrounded by monasteries, meditation center s and the shop selling Tibentan handicraft, thangka paintings and the prayers flags.
3.Pasupatinath Temple
The Pashupatinath Temple of Nepal was listed as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1979. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Pashupatinath Temple’s inside sanctum sanctorum houses a Shiva-Lingam. The outer sanctum has a huge corridor. An enormous statue of Nandi Bull–Lord Shiva’s vehicle stands tall facing the temple complex. The temple has a gold-plated roof that gives it a striking appearance along with four silver-plated gates.
4. Kathmandu Durbar Square
Its is the Historic royal palace of Malla and Shah kings of Medival Nepal. The major attraction of kathmandu durbar square are Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Kumari Ghar ( home of the living goddess kumari ), and Taleju Temple of Hindu people in Kathmandu valley.
5. Patan Durbar Square
Patan Durbar Square is a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its rich and cultural and artichtectural heritage .Boasting intricately carved temples, courtyards, and statues, it stands as a testament to the Newari artistry and the religious diversity of the Kathmandu Valley.
6. Bhaktapur Durbar Square
The ancient city Bhaktapur lies on the Eastern part of Kathmandu valley which is alsoknown as Bhadgaon or Khwopa, Bhaktapur. It is regarded as the abode of traditional Nepali culture, custom and unique arts of wooden and potteries. The historical monument on around signifies medieval age culture and tradition of Nepal and this old city is inhabited by indigenous Newari people in Bhaktapur. Major attraction of Bhaktapur Durbar Square are Golden gate, 55 window palace, Natapole Temple, Bhairabnath Temple and so on.
7. Changunaryan Temple.
The Changu Narayan Temple is UNESCO and is perched atop a small hill to the east of Kathmandu in Bhaktapur district. It is one of the best known Vishnu – Narayan is another name of Vishnu – temples in Nepal and is visited by a large number of devotees especially during Harishayani Ekadashi in the month of Ashadh and Haribodhini Ekadashi in Kartik, over the four month period when Lord Vishnu is supposed to retire to sleep. At the front of the temple is a beautiful statue of Garuda dating back to 5th century Lichchhavi period.
