Gosaikunda Lake is a significant alpine freshwater lake located in the Langtang National Park in the Rasuwa District of Nepal. Gosaikunda Lake is situated at an altitude of about 4,380 meters above sea level, it is also known as the Frozen Lake in Nepal because the lake remains frozen during the month of winter (October to June). It is one of the most revered pilgrimage sites for both Hindus and Buddhists where thousands of pilgrims visit the lake during the full moon festival of Janai Purnima, in order to take dip in its waters. The lake is surrounded by rugged mountains and is known for its stunning natural beauty and serene environment.
